Mirrored Glass

Mirrored Glass

A Poem by Monday Parker

I posed in the mirrored glass for your eyes

I wanted you to watch

To see the curve of my hips

To follow my hair to the tips

Where it rest

Just below my breast

I wanted you to see

I flutter when our eyes hold

I see something deep in you

Through your eyes

It looks like you see me

Like you’re looking right

Into me

I can’t help but to wonder

Is there really something I read in your stare?
