Stopped

Stopped

A Poem by Monday Parker

You have me stopped

Halted

Stuck

In this one motionless place

I am in your car

And its last night

Your lips are on my lips

Charcoal night surrounds us

Tapping lightly on your windows

Trying desperately to touch the warmth

That we create

The slow beats of your music

Dances with  the passion inside of me

I want you on my bed

To lay with you’re for hours

Watching the flickering candle light

Reflecting off of your unrestricted body

Tracing my fingers over your

Flower petal skin

So soft

So beautiful

I want to explore you

Slowly

I want to make you moan

Like you did last night

Feathery ever so lightly

Only I want to hear you scream my name

Digging your nails into my bare back.

With intensity and heat

The heat I felt in you, pressing against me

The heat in your life

Fingers and eyes

I wanta make you mine.
