It’s only been since Wednesday

This hollow jagged feeling should not be

 Ricocheting around inside of me

I am waiting for his response.

It’s been hours

I keep thinking of the way he spoke on the phone

Pledged I was his dream girl

The last woman he ever wanted

He wants to make babies with me

To be together

Without ever seeing me in the flesh

He kept saying how he already knew…We were destined

Silly woman

Sucked it up.

Dreamed of him for 5 nights

Thought of him throughout the long hours of day.

Starting to tumble

To feel that magic flutter of excitement

Hopefulness for the future

But then he ghosted me.

Leaving me with these dreams of a man…

Of who he could be to me..

Of what we could be together…

Left with pings of actual pain

An ache in the pit of my stomach

I hold abandon dreams of happiness

The thoughts of happily ever after

Stab me swiftly with their disappointment

Suck it up Princess…That was just another frog.
