Howl in the NightA Poem by Monday Parker
I can’t welcome you back into my life
You are wild Like a pack of wolves Reckless and free You were a splinter of my past When I was untamed like you. I have grown into an adult Domesticated Yet, something in you calls to me Like a howl in the night I lock my windows tight Ignoring the bits of you That changed me That calls to me Forgetting the desire To run through the dark with you. © 2016 Monday Parker |
