Glitter Heals

Glitter Heals

A Poem by Monday Parker

You question my solitude

My reasoning and strength

You looked down on my education

My maturity and choices I’ve made

And yet…There you are

Lying in this repulsive bed you’ve made

You talk about your godliness

And yet… there you are

The middle of a nasty break up

With a woman who’s past is

More checkered than yours

But… it’s my selections you interrogate

And scrutinize

While your castle built of sand

Crumbles around her

Clear

Sparkly

Stripper heels
