Karma Will

Karma Will

A Poem by Monday Parker

I think you owed me

At least a goodbye

After all of our years

deep kisses

and our I love you’s in the dark

I think you could have just looked me in the eye

and said you are moving on

I would have understood

We weren’t working

There was more bad than good

Either way you should have said it

Let me hear you say goodbye

Not just marry this girl that way

We had a family

A baby who deserved more

Than this shady mark on all of our past.

I deserved more

It’s been over a month and still you hide like a child

Avoiding punishment.

Only I won’t punish you, baby

Karma will
