Stringing Words

Stringing Words

A Poem by Angelheaded Hipster
"

I fell in love with the butterfly

"

While I said Id never say the words again
I find that they rest just as easy as before
on the tip of my tongue,
there, if you look close, you’ll see them

Sitting there, patiently biding the time
when it’s okay to say them again
Or when they’re swimming in
alchohol on some random Saturday
night

Im aware that I could get burned
badly at that
but it doesnt stop me from penning
what goes on in my head
Just cause I can’t share with you
there, doesn’t mean I can’t spill
here, on paper, with my ink
filling in the spaces

When you asked so long ago
(it seemed like ages ago, a month
has only passed)
if you still inspired me…

Yes.

Its this obvious, no?

So here we are, or better yet
here I am. Here I am, sitting on some
edge of whatever this is
Kicking my feet
enjoying the scenery as it passes

Yet I can’t shake the feeling that
there’s nothing more to it.

To love someone who barely notices your existence is like being a ghost in hell... it is great to see your creative gift in black and white again.
