Open DoorA Poem by Angelheaded HipsterWatching the butterfly
Its not everyday I open up my doors to unassuming eyes to see through everything I have hidden and tucked in nooks and crannies
(Thank you Mr Haitian Rum, Thank you Mr Tezcal Tequila)
Its not an everyday thing for me to say
"Here I am, ugly flaws and all, for your inspection"
but I do, I have I will again because that's just how much of an emotional masochist I am.
Pick at the scabs trip in the craters bring a flashlight my heart isnt an easy maze to make through
Neither is my mind for that matter but you're taking it upon yourself to be a savior to a very tired girl who doesn't see the point in needing saving in the first place.
I won't stop you I may laugh at you, cause it's been attempted before, and yes, as you ask yourself,
"Is she worth it?"
I think Im worth the midnight crazies I am worth the clenched fisted stubborn arguments
I am worth it and then some
But then again, I live with myself
every single day.
