The Cherry Burns A Hole...

The Cherry Burns A Hole...

A Poem by Angelheaded Hipster
"

Keepin it going....I figure...use the muse up before it flies off...

"

Youre still not here

When you said

you were leaving

you werent joking.

I suppose I am at fault

I take that blame fully

Knowing what I know

of your words

that were meant

for my ears alone...

I miss you

I miss the 3 am banterings

the

4AM bursts...oh how clever

you were to hide such

things that brought

a blush to these jaded

cheeks.

Funny this. Sparked

by another one's gushings

brought forth the feelings

and wantings and musings

that we shared.

You were Westley.

I wasnt listening and

I didnt hear it

I hear it now. I taste

it now with every little

drag of the cigarette

that I took in the rain

at 6:51 in the morning.

I miss you.

Loneliness is that shadow of a person we see staring at us through the corner of our eye, but when we turn to catch that shadow it seems to move. A constant companion of annoyance and regret. I like this. Not sure what the Westley reference is about so some explanation might help, but it is a good piece none-the-less. Kudos

Ahh, this brought a tear to my eye... for whom alive cannot tell of loneliness, regret, and wanting? You have such vivid imagery, dear. I love it!

I am hearing Roy Orbinson singing, "Only the lonely..." Hell, I was born lonely and will die the same way. My favorite poem of all time is "Alone" by Edgar Allen Poe because it echoes exactly how I have always felt, a feeling you express quite brilliantly here.

Loneliness can be a most debilitating emotion.. in my opinion.. What a painful, heartbreaking write.. I love the clarity of this poem.. Your closing line chipped my heart..

To ponder over a smoke at everything that has gone up in smoke. I see regret in this piece. I could be right, I could be wrong, but that's my take. Be blessed

Amber, the feeling brilliant, expressive, picturesque script of natural poetic variants subtle and tranquil in taking in each account like sentiments and desire, i love the mremory and pondering looking back aspect, as good as it gets.
reminds me of a reference to the princess bride. and true love. beautiful
