Tomorrow

Tomorrow

A Poem by momochiloves

That bottle is half empty
for Him at the least..
she sits at home
and waits with the feast

she made it so simply
Its a feast for two
only thing she knows how
but nothing is new

He stumbles down the stairs
leaving his pride with every slip
and slur
falling even further with each trip.

silently his thoughts start Yelling and screaming
his little girls name
when all she ever wanted
was to just play a board game

Do this, Do that!
he would say..
but why O why would she work so hard
Just for the love to be thrown away

The calls from his chair
echo in her mind
like little overlaps
in the cycle of time

Slowly, silently..she obeys
taking the ones he screams
in her tiny ears
and storing them on her minds balance beam

Waking up to see
what he has simply done
He will know what it feels like
to have tomorrow never come.
