What happens when you love someone?

          Trust and faith are given

          When that is broken

          One’s heart becomes a lonely token

          Of fear, distrust, and pain

 

If you’ve been in love

          You understand

          When one is let down

          It is heart breaking

          Yet in defense

          One cannot freeze their heart

          Else they will always be

          Cold and lonely

 

In order to enjoy life

          As one should

          Risks need to be taken

          Hearts to be broken

          And for you

          I’m willing

                   To take a chance

                   And learn to love

                   Again
