Everything seems to be

A reminder of you to me

Once long ago

I thought our love would last

Now it’s just an irony of the past

“They” say time is the healer

For once “they” may be right

It has taken time

To find the courage

To say “Goodbye”

The times we had together

Will always be with me

For you enriched my life

Like no other ever could

I couldn’t have asked

For a better friend

Our love comforts me

And each day

I thank the Lord

For the time

We had together

          I miss you
