What is a soul to do

When all I want

Is to be with you

You treat me wrong

And abuse me so

Still I refuse

To let you go

Is it because

It’s your child

I’m carrying

Or is it because

I’m not supposed to

Be with you

Who knows the reasons

Behind my wants

They certainly don’t

Make any logical sense

Things like this never do

Who knows…someday

Maybe things will work out

And we can raise our child

Together

If not…don’t worry

I’ll take care of us

The best I can

I don’t really expect

Anything from you

I’ll take into consideration

Your feelings for my decision

And work from there

I’ve know from the beginning

My obsession

A solid part of you
