What is it

That causes us

To do this

To each other?

 

Why must we

Always be

Arguing for some

Reason or another

I wish we could

Just get along

But that doesn’t seem to be

Our destiny

Ours must be

To fight the love we feel

To cause one another

Even more pain

It seems odd

That you’d become

So upset

If you didn’t

Really care

This causes thoughts

Of maybe to linger

It makes me angry

For you to expect

So much of me

So far nothing else

Seems to matter as much as

I’m sorry
