A Parent's LoveA Poem by Dream Fairy06 March 1993 - at the age of 22, I still felt very strongly the divide between my parents and achingly wished for my father's unconditional love...The spirit or soul Graces the body Created by the love Of two people A Gift from God, Himself A couple blessed With a child Representing their love For one another That love grows Encompassing the child This miniature This miracle who Grows and is Nurtured by the parents This is the ideal Reality stares us All in the face We turn our backs To ignore the neglect Which stems from Parental selfishness… I warn you all The worst damage Done is that which Results from The parent denying The child the one God given gift …the one the soul Accepted when it Entered the body… …part of the agreement Made for the blessing of Life… The gift denied? The parent’s love Without that love Part of the miracle Is gone For what you do not Understand Is that the love Between parent and child Is an extension Of God’s love A quote over many a Grandmother’s sink: “The love in your heart Wasn’t put there to stay; Love isn’t love ‘Til you give it away” Do not destroy God’s truest miracle …Love… By holding it within Share it with the World around you For the blessings Given in return Are ten-fold Otherwise the love Withers and dies Turning to bitterness And neglect… “For God so love loved us He gave His only Begotten Son” Honor that love Love the miracle God had given The child you helped Create and you Will find the love Within yourself Expanding with more Than enough to go Around Do not fear that It will not be returned For God’s love is a Blessing above all And with such love I, being the product Of such a miracle, Love you, my parent, Who brought me here… Honor thy promise To the Lord… Share the Love He has given you And watch the blessing grow And receive your © 2011 Dream Fairy |
