A Crucible of Eden

A Crucible of Eden

A Poem by Mo'men Mo'een
"

A poem that distills the inner workings of an existentially intense individual yearning for answers to subvert for further creation.

"
Two versions of me
In a battlefield
Eros begs to flee
Thanatos on a retaliation spree
My ego wields cynicism
My heart weaponizes the entire scene

I am a forge where darkness weeps
Even the light in awe screams
A paradox too fiery to grasp
A symphony of a neverland

Defiance mocks the interplay
Between fragmented forces within
My head spews layered stanzas
That my heart soothes on a whim

The self insists to win
A rigged game for crumbs of bread
My will defeats the script
My heart orchestrates the twist

The holy knight of enforced demise
The prophet who delights in the abyss
A magnet of all that thrives
And the soul that never quits
