A Poem by Momchil Atanasoff

Dusk,

Rising moon,

a scratch on night sky's skin,

a passion mark

by a new found lover.

Bourbon and tobacco

are my company tonight,

sitting on a table

in a distant land.

Distant not by miles,

but people,

calm and shiny

masks without a soul.

By the channel,

through the bars and crowd,

there are couples passing,

holding hands and kissing,

but like finished bottles,

they're blank, transparent,

empty from inside...

Cold, silent evening,

water still as lake.

Beautiful and peaceful,

shiny,

but it's fake

Loved these lines and the reality of it. Deep poetry here ☺
