Sugar Plum

Sugar Plum

A Poem by Molly D

1.

I'll show up lust-drunk and reckless,
swaying in the scent of clean sheets
and slow burning sandalwood.

2.

Fumbling for zippers by cellphone light,
giggling over the sounds of beltbuckles
and competitive kisses.

3.

Turn up the classic rock station,
set the alarm for 7 a.m.,
and give up on trying to sleep early.

4.

Laying near the open window,
our skin will rise in goosebumps
with the cold, silent air.

5.

Waking up in foreign linen,
I'll kiss you goodmorning, goodbye,
and then tip toe back home.

extremely well

What a great piece to read
I almost felt the cold air as you said
in this poem, though it's not morning

Intricate and delicate, images capture moments, reveal night secrets... Love the subtlness of this piece! Thanks for sharing...

Its a very nice choice of writing you picked, you can describe and portray it well, I enjoyed it :) most of your work teases the mind with erotic filled fantasies and sex driven antics, but in the end you settle everyone's minds with a simple yet somehow romantic and exciting tale of midnight love :)
