The mind of a genius

A recently discovered unused Twilight Zone script synopsis stuck to an old water bill among Rod Serling's personal papers:

A devious, self-serving con man with a huge head to support his massive ego goes from selling aluminum siding to President of the United States

*"Idea has potential but the audiences of the sixties will never believe it. Will save until audiences are much more likely to believe the scenario."

Needless to say, he didn't live see it realized
