![]() When I Was....A Poem by Michael Stevens![]() My timeline![]() When I was fifteen confusion reigned When I was twenty thought I knew all, freedom to be myself, if I figured out who When I was twenty-five had questions with no answers, but I had years to search and plenty of time When I was thirty I was happy domestically When I was thirty five my life changed forever, violently; when I was forty I followed a grim routine When I was forty five the world still made sense When I was fifty I thought America was back When I was fifty three everything exploded When I was fifty seven normalcy returned, Yet exsisted no longer; my beliefs turned upside down Now I'm sixty and the future’s yet to be written © 2023 Michael StevensAuthor's Note
