Not On Their Watch

Not On Their Watch

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

Watching out for all (all is a relative term)

"
America’s in trouble, Lady Liberty’s under assault

Thank God they’re on the job, watch out for her values

They won’t back down and cave on assault weapons,

They know the real priority is trans kids or gay weddings

Blood runs in the streets but our kids won’t get confused

Having two mommies or daddies or what kind of wedding

The morality police are called Republicans or elephant-red

And the society’s moral decline? Not on their watch
