Artistic Turns To Anger

Artistic Turns To Anger

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

Total frustration

"

At what point does everything seem pointless?

'Cause I've reached that point, I guess.

Standing on the mountain, shouting danger to the

wind,

end up right back where I started, again and again.

For my shouted warnings fall upon deaf ears,

nothing seems to stop him from playing on our fears.

All the tone deaf Kool-Aid drinkers refuse to see the

truth,

I'm feeling absolutely helpless, nothing left to do,

but stand helplessly on the sidelines as he wreaks his

devastation.

His is the greatest homegrown threat since the

founding of our nation.
