"I Like My Porridge JUST right!"

"I Like My Porridge JUST right!"

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

Not too hot, and not too cold!

"
Cold, the bitter arch-enemy of warm.

when usually, moderate's the norm.

It didn't feel too bad today,

as I trekked around, at exercise I did play,

but it doesn't seem to matter to me,

give me temperate, with a whole lot of sunny.

And not this weak-a*s winter bullshit,

no, the warming rays are what I crave, while I sit

here in the womb of my room, and b***h and b***h

about Mr. Sunshine turning into a cold son of a witch.

Time was, but I was much younger then,

when I could tolerate the cold, or at least pretend.

I'd shake it off with a shake of my head,

but those days are long gone, and it's with a sense of

dread

that I view the weather forecast, but don't get me

wrong,

I don't like too hot, either, 'You kids, get off my lawn!'
