I've sat here and watched the media, pardon the language, trip over their dicks, to report, and report, and report, on the latest tragedy. After a while, you're awash with misery. What was a breaking news story becomes, after repeated showings and often with shaky hand-held video, mind-numbing and depressing, not because of the awful event that spawned it, but because of the coverage itself. It was an important story to cover, but constant coverage? And also media, after 6 or 7 hours, here's a hint, IT'S NOT BREAKING NEWS ANY LONGER! And hours later, we get the sad, sad theme song, that only adds to the depression you feel. And I'm positive that focusing on disaster just inspires the next nut job to pull something sinister. And, you revel in telling us to be afraid, constantly, as if we'd forget if you didn't remind us, on a loop. So, I'll say it again, 'have you no shame, media?'
