Miss Recoil!

Miss Recoil!

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

We've all had one!

"
*Not musical in any way. Severe injury will occur if you try to play!
Verse:

My name is Timmy, and I'm in the 3rd grade,

and if I'd have known then what I know now, I'd have made

plans to drop out and get a job, just what I don't know,

but I'll tell you this, it's got to be better, cause this really blows!

Pre-Chorus:

Yeah, my teacher's a real piece of bummer.

My life went to s**t, and skipped right over summer.

Verse:

I know, not good language for an 9-year old,

but it's the truth, if I may be so bold!

'Rigid Rachel' is what we all call her behind her back,

None of us like her, and that's just a fact!

Repeat Pre-Chorus:

Chorus:

Oh, the name say's it all, 'Miss Recoil,'

she's hard to deal with--she's a pain, royal!

Miss Recoil needs to lighten up a lot.

She's wound so tight--she needs to loosen some knots!

Verse:

She's the spring-loaded nightmare up there in front of the class.

She could go off at anytime, I gotta get out of here, and fast!

I know it's such harsh talk for a nine year old kid,

but I think if I don't, my life will already have come undid!

Pre-Chorus:

Yeah, as young as I am, I know that 'undid' ain't right.

Boy, you, and Miss Recoil are both too uptight!

Repeat Chorus:

End
