Meat Cleaver Memories

Meat Cleaver Memories

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

Before the Arrogant Hangover comes The Meat Cleaver Memories night!

"

Before the early-morning Arrogant Hangover

Came the Meat Cleaver Memories night

I was partying like it was 1985

And I was a much-younger version

Of the idiot I am now, when I thought I knew it all

Slamming down memories like they wouldn't come back

To haunt me tomorrow morning; invincible heart

But this morning I'm paying the piper

Thank you much!
Bad or good, memories are likely to hurt later on.

Why can't every memory be of puppies and rainbows?
