     Dear Winifred, I'm a sixteen year old high school student, and my problem is my uncle; every time he visits he has a way of making me feel lazy and stupid.  He's always telling me that when he was my age, he already had a job and was doing his part to help out his family, as they were barely getting by.  He hints around that I'm basically a dead weight food machine.  My dad gets upset and tells my uncle to cool it; that's not the way it is, but the next time he visits, he says the same thing.  How can I get him off my back?  Signed Made to Feel Two Feet Tall

 

 

     Dear Made to Feel Two Feet Tall, maybe your Uncle Souldagger has a valid point; perhaps you are  lazy and stupid?  I know it's not what you want to hear, but as a general rule, and it's been my experience, sixteen year old kids are, if not lazy, stupid at least, yet, who are the first people to whine and complain about being labeled unfairly?  Stupid sixteen year old's.  Here's what I suggest you do; take a good long look at yourself in the mirror, and put some damn clothes on!  Then, fully clothed, ask yourself if you're either lazy or stupid.  If you can honestly say you're neither, add liar to the first two.  Winifred

THis is a very cever answer. I'v known a few 16 year old boys who were neither lazy or stupid, but they're in the minority.

I think that people who say "When I was your age...." never really were your age.
