Some things are just to painful to hear

The truth is so unbelievable,

 

Can't you just tell me one of your sweet lies?

 

The reality and finality of your dagger words,

 

Plunge into my brain and send me reeling

 

No defense do I have, nothing prepares

 

Me for what I am hearing; the words so

 

Much worse than anything I imagined

 

So please, please, just tell me one of

 

Your sweet lies, so I can pretend

 

That everything's okay?

Thanks; yeah, I guess this only relates to one specific event, and I wouldn't really want to be lied to, it's the way I felt at the time; like anything to deaden the pain!
