The Dreaded Wall

The Dreaded Wall

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

Writer's block!

The Dreaded Wall!

No inspiration springs to my mind

the dreaded wall; writer’s block, nothing I can find

Discarding ideas the minute the idea strikes

I write and I write, but there’s nothing that I like

I’m at the point where I’m thinking, ‘What’s the point?”

Nothing, not even something that get’s my nose out of joint,

inspires me to put fingers to keyboard

I feel so out of sorts, so out of my gourd

I’m the kind of writer who’s easily distracted

The dreaded disease of writer’s block, I have so bad contacted!

Where is my inspiration, where is my muse?

Where is my motivation, and some good ideas too?

Thank you for your comment. Usually, tis but an illusion for me, also, but every once in a while...

I'm not part of this conversation, but it made me laugh.
