There is something to be said for really short poems and prose, but to be frank, this one doesn't really seem very evocative to me. It's just so...expected, at this point, that short poems have to have a great deal of meaning, so the writer tries to cram in as much significance as he can in the small space he's allotted himself, and that's what it seems you've done here. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's not entirely without merit - it does have a distinct image, it doesn't mean anything. I think you should have gone the other direction with this and have written about something entirely without meaning for the sake of its meaninglessness, which would be something new and fresh, and, I daresay, more artistic.
