Which Way is Up?

Which Way is Up?

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

One of those days

"

Which Way is Up?

Can barely think, let alone intelligently

My brain is mired in muck; my eyes look, but I don’t see

I stare and I stare, but no connection’s made

The more I try to wake up, the more I seem to fade

In fact, just trying to write out my thoughts;

I look at what I’ve written, and make sense, it does not

I’m in the nowhere land of Can’tthikofanything

No one answers my phone; it just rings and rings

Which way is up; I’m sure I don’t know

I’m just spinning my wheels, I’m thinking SO slow!

Michael Stevens,
"Which way is up" was a joy to read and nice to read a new poet such as yourself as well. Anyway the thoughts portrayed within are very revealing of how we do not always "have it together." And you know I love it!. It makes us human; we can learn, try, want, and struggle to better things in this life.Here are a few of your lines I like..."My brain mired in muck..just trying to write out my thoughts...and make sense, it does not." And "Which way is up; I'm sure I don't know.." Lovely write...........I came away with the message "Dont be to big for my britches...........Ha ha...........Bless you in your life and writing............kathy
