Envy

Envy

A Poem by Chuck

Wedding photographs
The love glimmering in their eyes
The exchange of forever vows
I love you, I love you, I really do's
The perfect day
The perfect moment
Eternal companions
Wanting nothing more than to be with each other
Always

Brings me pain
Heartache
And I wish I wish, I really wish
I could change how we did things
I wish I could make you sweep me off my feet
Propose to me because you want me
To fall in love with me
For always

Take back the lying
The backstabbing betraying
Erase the hurt and every
I promise, really I promise, I won't do this to you again
And all of the second chances I have given you
Because I really want you
The You I knew you to be

Stop saying I am sorry
So sorry, please don't leave me
Because I am not leaving
I am already alone when I am with you

You are my fairy tale
And I envy the others

Envy Envy Envy the ones with forever kind of Love.

A real slap-in-the-face to the woman. I hope you're getting along fine. At points in this, I see it shifting towards your blame, then hers. Then both of y'all's. It's good. Way to let out the anger.
