Peaceful Traveler

Peaceful Traveler

A Poem by Chuck
"

I am dedicating this to my son. From love he is love. I want him to experience this life and to do it with conviction, to be confident, and know who is. This is for him, to remember who he is.

"
A gentle heart drumming
In a tranquil vessel
Two Flawed halves
Make one Perfect whole

   And you are Spotless

A clean slate
With so much to discover, uncover, and seek
So much to become, and understand
I will not always be with you on this walk

I am pleading with you little one

On your journey, you must remain steadfast
Face your fears, and Delve into your desires
Do not hesitate to be smitten with happiness
Or feel pain, and sorrow
And never underestimate the power
of tenderness and humility
Take comfort in being human

    Realize you are not alone

You are small but strong
The intensity and innocence
Of Your Love is undeniable
Infectiously flowing
You are an incredible calming force
Slaking the woes of the world,
And of my soul

Without a doubt, You were meant to be here

Destined to be apart of this life
My life
I am only so lucky to be a spectator
Of your incredible wandering voyage

You will find who you are,
Be nothing else.

I will always Love you,
 My Peaceful Traveler

This sounded like a fatherly figure (or maybe God) urging his young one on the journey of life. Prepping him/her for the arduous road ahead and instilling in them the necessary knowledge and values as to not waiver down the road.

Well done.

"I do not claim to be a writer"--well, you don't need to! Your poetry does it for you.
You are most definitely a writer, and a very good one at that.

I'm not entire sure of the context of this poem, but maybe that's part of it's allure. How it allows you to fill in the blanks, create your own backstory.

I know I've thought this, or something close to this, looking at little ones close to me.

A great, memorable write. I enjoyed reading it.

what a gorgeous selfless mediatation in action applied~ there is a deep sense of the parent who permits his child to grow his own wings and fly in his own direction~ standing by as needed and genty guiding without it seeming like guidance at all~beautiful~
