Waiting GameA Poem by ChuckIts all part of a Waiting Game Solitary moments seem to crawl While every disquieting sense of faithlessness and apprehension Seem to shuffle around the room Back and Forth Reminding me that I am in fact Faltering
Every look in the mirror is an indication That preparation would be wise But fear is a poor incentive When happiness should be the true culprit
I am running out of time To bring silence to this trepidation And find calmness in this blessing
There is life at the end of the tunnel All I want All I am begging for Is the strength provide a joyful welcome And bring a peaceful end to this Waiting Game
