Momentary

Momentary

A Poem by Chuck

Behind my eyelids
Amber swirls and spirals
Gliding to the rhythm
Of innermost sunshine
Drifting contentedly
Between the two entities

Under my fingertips
An ivory glow, a reply to the flame
Warmth rises and moves through my veins
Affection on fire
Brings a smile to my face

Peppermint butterflies
Float from Your Blue, Blue eyes
And swim across my skin
Effortlessly consumed by the
Amalgamation of souls in existence

Time leisurely follows
But for this moment,
I am sweetly, and honestly

Complete

The lines are brief, which really goes well with the title. It's ironic, in a way.
"Peppermint butterflies". I love writing that doesn't seem to make sense due to its apperent "randomness", but really does.

A beautiful moment that you have to enjoy while you have it, because it'll be gone in a flash.

You erroneously wrote in your bio that you are no writer, but I beg to differ with you. You certainly are a writer, judging by this poem and I am sure your other poems I will come to read and enjoy.
