I Loved You

I Loved You

A Poem by Molly Garnet

Unrequited love is the most beautiful feeling we have
It completely destroys us
We're unwanted
Unloved
And no one cares
There is no stronger feeling
No greater betrayal
I gave you everything
And you don't want anything
Excuses fill your heart
They fill our ears
I loved you
And you never loved me
This betrayal allows us to truly see ourselves
Our brokenness is gorgeous
And dark
And different
We are most vulnerable
What's funny is we don't grow stronger
We grow more cynical
We begin to hate ourselves
We begin to hate love
How dare you
I loved you
I love you

Love lead us to paradise and teaches us real pain. Like all things. Love must be tested and we need to hope for a good ending. Love is hard to find. Need two people on the same road. Wanting the same thing. Sometime good to be friends. Timing and luck is very important. I like the emotion and the strong ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.

Thank you, it's tough but there's definitely beauty in pain.
