ArmsA Poem by mollyjohnsonIn the darkness, with the two of us entangled, I felt your embrace tighten around me. You whispered, "what does it feel like to be in my arms?" It amazed me that I didn't have to think, I knew immediately.
Your arms are an oasis for all of my troubles. Refreshing and cool, my own personal paradise. Your arms are my home, keeping me safe and warm. Your arms are a window to your mood. I can tell if you're feeling playful, or romantic, or irritated. I can tell how much you love me with every embrace you give. Being in your arms feels like my future. Being in your arms feels like a lifetime full of love, happiness, and serenity. Your question still hung in the air. I smiled, ready to reply, But all I can seem to utter back to you is, "pretty good." © 2013 mollyjohnsonAuthor's Note
