A Poem by Molly K

The silence is louder than you could imagine,

Broken by hyenas laughing at something another has said,

The emptiness of the smile, the coldness of the eye,

Makes me realise they’re all fake. Emotions dead.

And boys look at girls who will never look back,

Hoping that one day she’ll look up and meet,

The eyes of a stranger watching from afar,

But dreams are just that, anything more is a cheat.

The rain batters the window and he looks away,

Meeting my eye for a moment, but I’ve nothing to say.

No advice to give, nothing to help sway,

The opinion of a boy who’s feelings won’t stay.

A nice tale of romance wish and hope.
"And boys look at girls who will never look back,
Hoping that one day she’ll look up and meet,
The eyes of a stranger watching from afar, "
I liked the above lines. Hope and wishes can lead to sad ending. I like the ending also. Thank you Molly for sharing the excellent poetry.
