One Starry Evening

One Starry Evening

A Poem by Never Good Bye
"

another unusual one :)

"

I walked down the road one starry evening

Only to find a strange man grieving

I asked him why he was so upset

He only replied “we never met”

I was puzzled by this exceedingly

As he said it again and again repeatedly

So I forsook the crazy old coot,

And walked on again till I found a root

Below the root I found a lady

Who, to me, seemed just a wee bit shady

I asked her her name, and she said Stan

So then I took off and ran; ran, ran, ran

Out of breath I stopped at a brook

But then was chased by a wild cook

She chased me around her living room chair

And then suddenly she became a bear

I began to think I was loosing my mind

When suddenly I was sent to go find

Something I have never seen

My mission was to find a spleen.

Author's Note

Never Good Bye
i wrote this when i was half asleep then read it over again the next morning to find that the ending was a little bit freakish. i was planning on changing it, but didnt have the time. During that day at school i was thinking about and the more i pondered it, the more it grew on me, soo i decided not to change it after all. if its a little too weird for you sorry :)
