Sewing the Pieces

Sewing the Pieces

A Poem by Mercedes
"

How I feel when he's away.

"

I feel empty inside without you here

I miss you so much

And I need you here with me

The hours seem so long

And the house seems so big and empty

I don't know what to do with myself

I don't know how to spend my time

I've grown so used to you by my side

Day in and day out

That without you here beside me

I can't function or think

I'm not myself

And I feel like half of me is missing

I"ve been cut in half

And I can't wait for you to return

So you can bring that part of me back

And sew me back together again

With your sweet kisses and your love.

This is such a beautiful poem. You are amazing at letting your feelings and emotions show in your work. The way you write, it's impossible not to see what kind of person you are: a caring, sweet person who uses their heart to write. You are a incredibly amazing writer. (PS: I feel the exact same way as you describe in this poem)
