Constant Reminders

Constant Reminders

A Poem by Mercedes
"

After the breakup, everything reminded me of him.

"

I’m haunted

By your voice

By your face

By your words

Every little thing

Reminds me of you

No matter what

I see remnants of you

Tiny reminders

That you’re still out there

And that you haven’t

Forgotten me,

But, oh,

I wish you would.

Aww, this was so heartbreaking to read! I, like I'm sure many others, am able to relate to the pain and frustration that you wrote about in this poem. I thought that this piece flowed really well, and I loved the way you ended the poem. Although this poem captures the sadness, anger and the feeling of defeat that you tend to get after a breakup, it also seems to me, that there is a feeling of strength behind this poem which is a kindly reminder that not all is lost. :)
A great write,
