putting off homework

putting off homework

A Poem by Mohl083
"

i'm dropping out of school to become a hobo

"

i am nothing more

than the forgotten lint

in the bottom

of God' pocket.

i suck what few drops

of milk i can

from the galaxy.

stars millions of years away

capture the gaze

of the men in white coats

while their neighbor

tugs constantly

at his sleeve.

we are faint imprints

made on worn out

vhs tape.

our voices and image

disappear more

with each viewing

until the strain

snaps us apart

forgotten

to the digital crowd

of chattering teeth

and blinking eyes.

oh, to float through

the vacum

chasing the shiny fish hook

dangling before my eyes.

one little nibble

and into my jaw

goes the "f**k you"

i've been avoiding

until now.

great poem and would be excellent if you revised your line breaks with meter, imo,
and checked the spelling, i like this poem, great depth, expanding ever more,
and the end brings it back to reality, great job, thanks for sharing your talent.
