the immortal woman

the immortal woman

A Poem by Mohl083

i know my hands

have touched the springs

of the fountain of youth.

i have seen the phoenix

rise from the ashes,

laugh as she danced with flames,

and returned alive and healthy;

better for her suffering.

in my wife

there is her daughter

slumbering.

one day she'll be awake

and she'll carry her daughter

and her mother.

throughout history

men have dropped sails

searching for the same Helens.

Venus is our

mother, wife and daughter

a perfect trinity

of love.
