not quite april foolsA Poem by Mohl083now who's laughing?
Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. -code of the sith i didn't plan on writing tonight, but then there's a lot in my life i never etched out on a thinkpad better to let the whims of the great magnet direct the energies. there were so much promise that i once again lost in empty liquor bottles and hours of internet porn. sometime i would like to dress in a white suit and spend the afternoon sipping bourbon on a porch. no deal is raw no one is favored or blessed. i look out upon my wasted kingdom a fool's paradise of outdated electronic gizmondadry, scratched up dvd discs, and the ruins of projects not beyond my grasp but merely my enthusiasm: the weight bench i throw dirty clothes upon couples with the freeweights gathering dust beneath the coffee table ladened with junk mail and half-read paperbacks. the violin entombed in its case untuned and slipping further into paranoia because some day someone will beg the emperor to show off his new clothes. the unfinished autobiography stowed away in the cabinet because it's been five years since i've realized i haven't done a damn thing noteworthy enough to offer up to the ages. we are all paychecks to those unblinded by the green, red and yellow music notes our clumsy fingers can't pluck. should i join my fellow christians in the mundane of tuesday, or drink wine from a goat's skin while i find myself in an orgy making love to the sun? © 2008 Mohl083Reviews
