A Poem by Christopher Michael Smith
"

"I don't know what's been said, we'll last forever when we're dead." - MJK (Puscifer)

"
I believe I died several times last night
with Jupiter and Luna reigning down upon me
I went to those places
arms outstretched
stuck in my own little lullaby
drifting within nothing and everything
weightless
anticipating the clap of lights and flashes to consume
all of
me...

frequencies strung out upon the fabrics of this hammock
resting galaxies right here in the back yard
&
they
glide and dance
like tiny fragments
caught in a warm breeze
like two kids playing in the neighborhood swings
back and forth
to and fro
weaving like a feather
&
knitting a pattern they only know
fragile cycles in one luminous flow

o' if you could have truly seen
o' if you could have truly been right there
right then
with me...

at that universal crossroads of perfection
when all became one
when we all became free

eye could vividly see
so many planes
entangled within so many dreams
here and there
every where...

so much captured
yet, nothing ignored
so much devoured
to once again be spilled forth....

I loved the first half. I was there with you on that hammock, starring at the night sky lost in space. Feeling the warm wind on my face, feeling so small in such a big universe.

Towards the end you lost me a bit and I wasn't able to make much meaning. The last two stanzas lost me, I had to reread them but they didn't seem to make much of an effect for me.

I love the way you write, by the way. It reminds me of how I write. Its beautiful the way you shape your thoughts.
