A Poem by aspen
"

I've decided to start a new series where I turn dreams I have into poetry, so here's the first one in that series!

"
rays of sunlight bounce off her saltwater soaked skin
waves are crashing at her ankles as she twirls around to face me

smoke escapes through my smile
her rain cloud eyes meet mine

delicately, so delicately
she makes her way to me

the high sets in, my energy branches out
the pink sand wraps itself around the edges of my figure

I'm looking at life through rose colored glasses
I'm dancing circles around the red flags this time

we burst into laughter
blending into a Zilo song playing in the background

follow the pink flamingo

This is a great lyrical poem. I love the way you use the color pink thru-out in different ways to describe various unrelated things. Your story is told in a sketchy way, so that I can kinda guess what's going on, which would be a lot like how it feels to try to remember a dream (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
