warmth

warmth

A Poem by aspen

submitted to the aching for your touch,
your glittering emerald eyes hold me captive.

your smile surges waves of warmth in my chest,
butterflies flutter around so delicately in my stomach down to my toes.

your very existence absorbs my thoughts,
I'm in love with how this feels.

right before I fall asleep,
my entire body craves your presence,
catching my veins on fire and luring you into my dreams to make up for the absence.

beauty matched with destruction,
hearts bursting in rhythm,
I think you just might be my new addiction.
