What is Love?

According to the dictionary, the definition of love is an intense feeling of deep affection.

 

What do you consider love to be?

I’ve heard that love is when you can fully trust someone, despite the pain that previous people have put you through. For some reason, that doesn’t make sense to me. That’s not love. That’s trust. You can love someone without trusting them.

I’ve heard that love (when used in a relationship) is when you’d put them above anyone else in the world. Personally, I believe that family should be above everyone. You love your family, right?

 

Before defining what love is, you need to define what type of love you’re talking about.

Friendly love? Sibling love? Romantic love?

And even after you figure that you, how do you define it?

 

Personally, I don’t think there is a specific definition of love. It’s not something to describe; it’s something to feel. And when you love someone, you just know.

 

So what really is love?

Okay, I had to get that out of my system hahah but anyways, I believe love to be an ache, a yearning in the deepest parts of your soul that you didn't know existed. When you love, you feel selfless, wanting to make that person happy and to be the one they need. It's not always going to be returned, but isn't that what love is?! Selfless emotion that you just want to share?
