Red

Red

A Poem by May B. Laidur

The color of glory and the color of courage.
The color that warriors wear on their march to do battle.

The color of chaos and the color of blood.
The color that warriors see when they start to do battle.

The color of anger and the color of rage.
The color that warriors feel when they fall in battle.

The color of passion and the setting sun.
The colors that warriors dream when their battle is done.

Nice poem - I particularly like the alliteration, or more accurately, the consonance used in the repetition of the letter 'b' in the last words of the second couplet.
