Milky White Nostalgia
Strolling about the balustrade,
The sky once azure,
 Is now a lonely crimson
Of ripened desire,
Like an interim betwixt
The dapper clicks,
Of the heels of your shoes,
The amorousness of pathos .
You remember…
When you were,
A child,
While taking a deep inhalation
Oftranquil feelings,
That makesomber days
Seem rustic,
Your lover there
Next to you,
Standing…
Amidst sweet,sweet lies.
Sitting down on a
Ceremonious chair
Of wicker, you grin,
Nestling your cup of joe,
Or your ale…
While trickling tepid emotions
Sparkle within…
A subtle sensation
Comes over you.
And then you wonder,
Is this happiness?
When the sun
Sets, a dusk-laden,
Mosaic of glowing pink,
Shadows begin to spin
About the jacaranda; sweltering
Desert windschill you,
The sweat upon your brow
Is an icy glossof cold,
Milky white nostalgia...
They’re calling your name,
There’s an answer
Somewhere…
Why not tonight,
You wonder to yourself.
Two lovers hold hands,
Kissing as the sun
Drowns belowthe horizon.
Is this happiness?
Maybe… for some of us…
Darkness emancipates
Your surroundings,
A moonlit sheen of
Sullen,
Hues of vigorous gray…
Alive within you,
You take a sip
Of your mocha,
Or your lager,
Or whatever…
While you ponder
Those flirtatious clicks
Of your heels,
On the portico…
While chillsrun up
Anddown your spine.
